Edwards Spur Road Project to begin in Early February 2019. Contact CDOT for more information:
Project Background The I-70G Edwards Interchange Upgrade Phase II project includes the southern half of the Edwards Spur Road (I-70G) from Miller Ranch Road to US 6. CDOT constructed Phase 1 in 2011, which included the northern half of the spur road. Phase II will include widening the spur road to 2 lanes in each direction, which will include bridge widening at the structure over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and replacement of the structure over the Eagle River. New pedestrian connections will be constructed including a new north south connection along the east side of the spur road to the existing sidewalks at the Miller Ranch Road roundabout, along with a new roundabout at the US 6 intersection. Additionally, the project will provide new separated pedestrian facilities along the east side of the corridor along with two new pedestrian bridges at the UPRR and the Eagle River. This will replace the existing wooden pedestrian bridge at the Eagle River.
